Why this site exists

Most SEO and AEO work happens behind client NDAs, which means the interesting parts (the failures, the workflows, the actual mechanics of getting cited by an AI model) rarely get written down anywhere public. This log is where I write them down anyway, with the details that would normally get stripped out of a case study.

Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) is the practice of getting a business surfaced and cited correctly inside AI-generated answers, on ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and similar tools, rather than just in a list of blue links. It borrows from traditional SEO but the mechanics are different: structured data, entity clarity, and content that answers a question directly matter more than keyword density ever did.

Expect posts about things I have actually run: content pipelines, structured data experiments, query fan-out analysis, and the occasional automation that saved a client hours of manual work. Numbers when I have them, no numbers when I do not.

If any of it is useful to you, good. If you want help applying it to your own site, that is what /work and /contact are for.
